Growing coffee at this farm proved difficult due to the initial infrastructure setup.

Since 2010, Andrés Torres Goicochea has been managing the farm. It covers an area of approximately 11.5 hectares. In Peru, as in many other coffee-producing countries, the Geisha is unique and uncommon. The Geisha variety also requires additional attention in the production cycle to ensure quality is upheld.

The farm had limited access because there was no roads and no access to public lights. Over time, every child received a share of the farm. By cooperating, the Andres family made it possible to build infrastructure, allowing the farm to have access to the road infrastructure. Concurrently, additional facilities were constructed to supply water to the region. Solar panels were used to provide lighting, which later allowed the farm to continue operating as the amount of daylight decreases.

Summary of production

Natural NX

This Geisha lot has passed a traditional natural, in-cherry, fermentation during 24 hours. Subsequently, the cherries are dried to 10.5% of grain humidity levels. This procedure accounts for approximately 15 days. After drying, the coffee is stabilized during a few weeks, vacuum packed and made ready for export.
