Anthony Nguyen wins the Swedish Roasting Championships 2019 in Alingsås, Sweden.
National and international roasting championships are designed to highlight the art and craft of coffee roasting. Competitors will green grade a compulsory coffee, sketch out a roast plan and roast the selected several coffees onsite. Judges assess the competitors’ coffees based on given frameworks and crown the best tasting roast and cup in several categories.
The 2019 World Coffee Roasting Champion will be decided November 15 to 18 live at the Taiwan International Coffee Show. This will be the 7th annual World Coffee Roasting Championship.
The World Coffee Roasting Championship (WCRC) is produced by World Coffee Events, a subsidiary of the Specialty Coffee Association. World Coffee Events is excited to work with the Taiwan Coffee Association and the Taiwan International Coffee Show to bring one of the World Coffee Championships to Taiwan for the first time. The Taiwan International Coffee Show is expected to bring nearly 200,000 coffee professionals and enthusiasts together, and attendees will be able to watch the champions roast, try coffees roasted by the champions, and hear educational content from experts and past champions.
